One Night Of Fire was absolutely incredible.
The event started on the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset with a tug of war to determine the direction of the party. Brooklyn won, so we headed to Brooklyn Bridge Park where dozens of grunting, chanting revelers formed a primal dance pit.
From there we marched to the nearest subway station, complete with police escort, and all 1000 of us descended on the F train for a 45-minute ride. No one was quite sure where we were headed, but we didn't really care as we drummed on walls, sang songs, passed drinks, and passed crowd surfers.
At the last stop, we poured out onto Coney Island and danced our way to the boardwalk. There we met up with the amazing Hungry Marching Band who led the way down the boardwalk to a dance party, care of a modified school bus blaring techno music and projecting video on a nearby building. |

Then fire jugglers performed to the beats of impromptu drummers and sparklers were passed out and lit, until the cops shut it all down, while a large group went skinny dipping in the ocean.
This city rocks.
